We offer the option to prolong the 4-day ayahuasca healing retreat to a 5-day retreat, with our optional tobacco ceremony. If you enhance your healing experience by including the tobacco ceremony, you add a very intense purification. All plant medicines essentially work on cleansing our bodies and minds, but each plant still has its own virtue.
The purpose of the tobacco ceremony is to purify and balance the body on physical, mental, emotional and energetic levels. The tobacco ceremony involves a lot of purging, which eliminates toxins, impurities and negative emotions and thoughts from the body. Purging can happen through vomiting, diarrhea, urinating, yawning, shaking, crying, sweating or feeling cold. As intense as this may sound, this purge helps you to release tensions, energies and heaviness that has accumulated inside of you. And even though in the moment of purification it might not be so pleasant, most people feel incredibly calm and pure after the ceremony.
Many shamans consider the tobacco ceremony to be a good preparation for the ayahuasca ceremonies to come, because the release of all this negative energy allows for deeper healing. In this video our shaman Ronald Rivera talks about the important preparation the tobacco ceremony offers for the ayahuasca ceremonies that follow.
Please note that the tobacco ceremony will take place before the ayahuasca ceremonies. Therefore, guests choosing to go for this option, start their retreat one day earlier. The second day of their retreat will be the first day for those participating in the 4-day ayahuasca retreat.
In the booking form you can choose to add the tobacco ceremony.
